Description

Sweet Osmanthus also known as Gui Hua, Jiu Li Xiang or Fragrant Olive, belongs to the Oleaceae family. It is an evergreen shrub native to Asia and blooms from the Himalayan East all the way through China to Japan. Sweet Osmanthus is also the city flower of Guilin, China, which is home to many forests of this plants. In fact, the name Guilin means "Forest of Sweet Osmanthus". Regarded by the Chinese as one of the 10 most famous flowers, its cultivation by the Chinese people dates back 2,500 years.

Brewing Method

Hot

Place one teabag into a mug and add about 250ml boiling water. Cover the mug and let it steep for 3-5 minutes before enjoying the brew

Cold

Place one teabag into a mug and add about 70ml of boiling water. Cover the mug and let it steep for 5 minutes before pouring in another 180 of ice water.
